Museum Collection _ Not For Sale

This exquisite jade sculpture depicts an ancient Burmese princess in her full traditional attire, giving a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of Burma. The princess is adorned in a vibrant scarf which is draped around her body and gently held by her left hand. Her upper body is adorned with layers of intricately crafted pearl necklaces that gracefully drape down her chest, drawing attention to her regal posture.

In her ears, she wears large precious earrings that sparkle in the light, adding a touch of glamour to her elegant look. Her hair is styled into an intricate bun, adorned with a golden crown that signifies her high status in the Burmese society.

The princess holds a Burmese offering vessel in her hands, which is traditionally used to offer food and drink to monks and other revered persons. The vessel is delicately carved, with intricate patterns and designs that reflect the fine craftsmanship of the Burmese artisans.

The jade sculpture captures the grace and elegance of the ancient Burmese princess, showcasing the beauty and richness of Burmese culture and tradition.

The jade material itself is highly prized for its metaphysical properties, and has long been associated with good luck, prosperity, and harmony. As a symbol of purity and serenity, jade has been used in spiritual practices for centuries, believed to enhance inner peace and wisdom, while also promoting physical healing and emotional balance.
